Being a destination wedding photographer in Italy means…
September is always the most popular month for weddings in Italy. For this reason, wedding photographers or videographers often condense many works in that period of the year, and then run from one part of the country to the other, to shoot and immortalize events of all kinds and styles.
In the year that has just passed, the month of September proved to be particularly busy, as it saw us photographing a very long series of destination weddings. Only in the first two weeks, 7 events in 7 different cities, from Verona to Puglia, from Tuscany to Lake Como.
On the other hand, this is exactly what we like about our work: traveling, meeting new people, working in different, wonderful places. I do not deny that it is demanding and tiring at times, but the enthusiasm and stimulus we receive always repay us for everything.
An elegant wedding in Tuscany
The enthusiasm was certainly not lacking when we found ourselves photographing and filming the wedding of Audrey and Bruce, two beautiful sweethearts who came from Switzerland to celebrate their wedding in Tuscany, a stone’s throw from Florence.
Everything took place at the Antica Fattoria di Paterno, a very particular and eclectic structure, dominated by an ancient seventeenth-century tower and located in the Chianti area, on the Florentine hills. The villa and the cellar are surrounded by green vineyards, olive groves and woods.
From the preparations of the spouses, to the symbolic ceremony, to the reception and the final party, everything took place in the numerous spaces of the Farm.
Among all, the setting up of the reception in the Piazzetta del Giubileo, or the internal courtyard adjacent to the cellar, certainly stands out. The images, I would say, speak for themselves. Gold was the predominant color of the event, and everything shone and sparkled in the light of the candles and candelabra hanging above the tables.
And what about Audrey’s dress? One of the most stylish we have had the chance to see!
