Destination wedding in Puglia. An authentic, unexpected Salento

Destination: Puglia

If there is an Italian region that is experiencing a golden age and that has become the ideal and trendiest destination for weddings, this is undoubtedly Puglia.

Amazing food, perfect weather, marvelous beaches, unique landscapes, a transparent sea, masserias, luxury villas, culture and tradition …it really doesn’t miss anything!

If you are organizing a wedding in Italy, you absolutely must take a look at the incredible venues that Puglia offers (just to name a few, we recommend Masseria Torre Coccaro, Borgo Egnazia, Masseria Montenapoleone, Masseria Pettolecchia, Masseria Potenti, Masseria Le Carrube, Masseria Moroseta … but there would be many others). You will have a fantastic time with your loved ones and you will enjoy all the beauties of the area, warmed by the sun of Southern Italy.

We have to admit it: Puglia is not only a place where we love to work, but also one of our favorite holiday destinations. In particular, the area we love the most is Salento, the southernmost part of the region, overlooking two seas (Adriatic and Ionian).

So for us it was not the first time we were in that area, but every time it is always a wonderful discovery.

The wedding

Thanks to Claudia and Biagio, this year we had the opportunity to come back to our beloved Salento for work: in fact, we made both the photo shoot and the wedding video for them.

Claudia and Biagio live in Lombardy (so for them too it was in fact a destination wedding) but they are literally in love with Salento … and how can you blame them?
For their wedding they wanted to bring together a small group of friends and relatives near Lecce, a wonderful city that is certainly worth a visit, the cradle of the Apulian Baroque.

The symbolic ceremony and the reception were held in Cala dei Balcani, a location directly overlooking the sea, characterized by the presence of an ancient Saracen tower.
During their Puglia-style wedding there was no lack of references to Apulian tradition and history …the dinner was animated by traditional music and by a talented pizzica dancer, who involved everyone present in wild dances.

Thanks to these two guys, this time we discovered an authentic, wild, unexpected Puglia.
We carry in our hearts their warmth, hospitality, the kindness with which they welcomed us and which we then found in all the people we met during our trip.
