A Villa Arvedi Wedding in Verona: Alejandra & Marco
Some of our favourite photographs from Alejandra and Marco’s wedding are the small, unplanned ones: Marco bringing his hands to his face as Alejandra walks down the aisle, a guest leaning in for a hug, the two of them exchanging a smile when everyone else is looking elsewhere.
Alongside those moments are the portraits, the family photographs, and the places that hold the day together. A white vintage convertible, the countryside around Verona, and the Italian gardens of Villa Arvedi—all part of a story we wanted to tell with care, and with room for their personalities.
This is a selection from their wedding day: the moments everyone remembers, and some they might otherwise have missed.
A historic Italian villa near Verona
Set in Grezzana, in the Valpantena countryside just outside Verona, Villa Arvedi brings together frescoed rooms, historic architecture and a formal Italian garden. For couples planning a destination wedding in Italy, it offers a setting where the landscape and the interiors are equally part of the experience.
What we love as photographers is the variety within that setting. The scale of the villa gives context to a wide photograph; a quieter corner brings the attention back to two people. Garden paths, stone balustrades and the façade offer different possibilities as the light changes.
Alejandra and Marco arrived in a white vintage convertible, following the drive towards the villa with the gardens opening up around them. We photographed the scene from a distance as well as close up: the setting mattered, but so did their smiles and the way they leaned towards one another in the car.
The photographs we make, and the moments we follow
Our approach to wedding photography combines observation with gentle direction. During the preparations and ceremony, we follow what unfolds: hands helping with a bow tie, a parent watching from the doorway, the reactions that happen around the couple.
For portraits, we take a little more time with light, composition and movement. At Villa Arvedi, that meant making space for both the architecture and the connection between Alejandra and Marco—sometimes with the villa filling the frame, sometimes with almost everything else falling away.
We are drawn to photographs with a considered composition and a natural feeling. A portrait can be carefully framed and still feel like you. A spontaneous photograph can hold just as much beauty as one we have helped create.
Throughout the story, we keep colours close to how the day felt, alongside black and white photographs that draw attention to an expression, a gesture or the light.
