A winter hygge wedding

Have you ever been to a hygge style wedding? Personally, we consider it the perfect style to be adopted to organize an intimate winter weddingHygge, [pronounced HU-GAH] is a Danish term that indicates everything that is intimate, cozy, warm and comfortable … like a cup of hot chocolate by the candlelit. More than a style, it is an emotional state.  If you want to recreate this intimate and comfortable atmosphere even on the day of your wedding, and allow your family and friends to spend some pleasant time, we suggest you take inspiration from the elopement of Megan and Nathan.

To organize their symbolic wedding, these two adorable guys decided to ask to Claudia of Verona Wedding Party who, as a true lover of the hygge style, fully understood the mood that the couple wanted to give to the event and suggested many ideas to create the atmosphere they were looking for.

The choice of the venue fell on Tenuta Le Cave, an original relais located in a valley surrounded by vineyards, at the eastside of Verona. The furnishings of the venue, with the strong presence of wood and the skilful mix of antiques and modern elements, perfectly suited them.  Megan got ready and wore the wedding dress (by Atelier Emè) in the Lion Suite of the structure, while Nathan was writing his vows in the Horse Suite, just a few meters away.

The intimate exchange of votes was held in a living room of the Main House, at the presence of four close friends of the couple. To recreate a warm and winter atmosphere, the room was literally filled with candles and lanterns, pine cones and fir branches. The spouses didn’t forget even the olfactory element. With the collaboration of a master perfumer, they had created an exclusive perfume tailored on their marriage.

The snack table and the dinner table were simply fabulous! The arrangements included goblets, carved crystal vases, uprights and bottles, cotton flowers, blue thistles, thuja, hellebore, and tulips. The sweets and naked wedding cake of Brio Gluten Free Bakery, together with tea, coffee and hot chocolate, warmed and cuddled the newlyweds and their guests, as well as the warm blankets, the cushions and the socks that the couple had put to their arrangement. Every single and small detail was studied: invitations, menus, place cards (made by the talented calligraphy Martina di Bianchi Weddings), the original wedding rings in red gold (by My Golden Age, as well as Megan’s engagement ring) .

To end this perfect day, the couple offered a dinner, which was served on the table richly decorated with accessories and flowers by Elena Fiori.
